Cycle song - Imogen Heap

Cycle song - Imogen Heap
A couple years after the release of her album Ellipse in 2009 (wow, so much time ago?!) Imogen started off a project according to which she would record and share a song every three months, getting inspiration and background sounds from fans, so that in three years she would have had a 12-track album. The deadline shifted a bit and in the end not all the songs (at least as I recall) were created in this way, but many of them were and have been around for a few years now (e.g. Neglected space, which is still my favourite on the album, was released in 2011). It is always rewarding to follow such creative and innovative artists like Imogen, as in parallel to the development of great music they also develop interesting ideas on how to make music. Listening to the whole album, released a few weeks ago, is rewarding and positive since the beginning, also because I was already familiar with some of the songs on it. My reaction to the whole project is positive, kudos to Imogen and best of luck to her with her coming baby! This Cycle song has been written together with one of her sisters on the album, Climb to Sakteng, for the soundtrack of a documentary on Bhutan and was released last summer; it is one of my current favourites, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
